About me

Having studied Psychology at university, I worked as a teacher in secondary schools, specialising in supporting young people with additional needs. I then trained as a psychodynamic counsellor at the University of Cambridge.

I am a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and adhere to their ethical framework.

Through PTUK (Play Therapy UK), I also trained as a Therapeutic Play Practitioner (Christchurch University, Canterbury) and then a Play Therapist (Leeds Beckett University). This training included usng expressive arts which I often incorporate into therapy with adults and young people.

I have recently qualified as a supervisor and can supervise counsellors working with adults and cousnellors/play therapists working with chilkdren and young people.

I am now self employed and work as an independent counsellor, psychotherapist and play therapist, as well as a supervisor both privately and in primary and secondary schools in Cambridgeshire.

My Cambridge practice is based at the Cambridge Counselling Service in Cambridge, and in Houghton, near Huntingdon. The Cambridge Counselling Sevice is conveniently in Cambridge, with its own car park.
