Having studied Psychology at university, I worked as a teacher in secondary schools, specialising in supporting young people with additional needs. I then trained as a psychodynamic counsellor at the University of Cambridge.
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and adhere to their ethical framework.
Through PTUK (Play Therapy UK), I also trained as a Therapeutic Play Practitioner (Christchurch University, Canterbury) and then a Play Therapist (Leeds Beckett University). This training included usng expressive arts which I often incorporate into therapy with adults and young people.
I work as an independent counsellor, psychotherapist both privately and in secondary schools in Cambridgeshire. I am also an associate counsellor with HCCN (Huntingdon Community Cancer Network).
I am a qualified supervisor (Terapia) and supervise counsellors working with adults as well as counsellors working with young people.
My private practice is based in Houghton, near Huntingdon.
