Play Therapy

Play therapy can help children work through many different issues, including:

  • difficulty in concentrating

  • anxiety

  • trauma, loss or  bereavement

  • nightmares or disturbed sleep

  • being withdrawn or unhappy

  • bullying

  • disabilities or illness

  • difficulties with friendships

The play room contains materials and toys that facilitate creativity and enable the child to work from his or her conscious and unconscious self in exploring issues from the past or present.

Materials include puppets, paints, musical instruments, sand, clay as well as opportunities to use story work, relaxation and creative visualisation.

I have a private practice, successfully working with children to help them with many issues. This also includes liaising with parents/carers, and discussing how best to support the child.

Alongside my private practice, I work in primary schools, offering play therapy to children from 4 to 11 years.
